Thanksgiving Wishes, Holiday Entertaining:Nov 2013
We Are Thankful!
Thanksgivingis the perfect time to reflect on what is most important in our lives and to take a moment from our busy schedules to pause and express our gratitude. At IMI Design we find ourselves grateful for the meaningful work that we get to do each day: transforming residences and work places from ordinary to outstanding, sharing our talents with the greatest clients (we are so lucky) so their spaces are inspirational. I would be remiss not to mention how lucky I am for the amazing team at IMI. I love you guys. We wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Holiday Season full of love, joy and happiness.
In mid-November I had a chance to participate in an extraordinary event. I joined Inc. Magazine’s first-ever Riders Summit, a three-day motorcycle road trip for entrepreneurs through the Nevada desert. Using Las Vegas as our base, each day we embarked on an incredible afternoon ride, followed by CEO forums allowing us to learn from each other, share and network.
Since the group was limited to a small number of riders/entrepreneurs, it created a truly intimate gathering in a highly interactive hyper-relevant business and life experience. Both on and off the bike I was able to participate in sessions that combined our passion for riding and growing businesses.
Riding in formation with some of the most extraordinary entrepreneurs, such as Arkadi Kuhlmann of ING Bank, experiencing the twists and turns of the desert highways, wide open roads, and unfolding scenery made me reflect on life and business in the way that I haven’t done before. I returned inspired and ready to take on the beautiful road that is the future of IMI Design Studio. While it was my first three day ride, it will not be my last. In fact, we’re putting together an amazing ride with a charitable tie in for March of 2014! Stay tuned for more!
“Eat. Talk. Sleep.” Design solutions for perfect Holiday Entertaining
Holidays are about spending time together and when families gather together they talk, they eat and then they sleep. It seems basic but what makes a house truly ideal for big family gatherings is the design of the places that we eat, talk and sleep in. Anita was a recently a guest on Pat McMahon’s Morning Scramble TV show and discussed this very subject with co-anchor Lisa Schneider-Cipriano. If you missed it live on TV, see it here now! If there is a topic that you would like to see us discuss, please email us to let us know.
