Press Release

Scottsdale, AZ – [December 11, 2013] –  IMI Design is rounding out 2013 with a strong finish. The Scottsdale-based, concierge style interior design firm announced several new contracts awarded in the third quarter.

“We’ve had a great year with a very strong start, but we were pleasantly surprised by the momentum that carried into our third and fourth quarters,” noted founder and principal designer Anita Lang.  “Traditionally most of our contracts have been awarded in the first two quarters in the year.   But that was not the case this year. In fact, our new contracts for third quarter of 2013 have tripled from the previous year.”

Lang attributed the increase in business partially to the overall improved economy which is allowing for the recovery of the luxury goods market.

“Economy played a big part but the key behind our success is the hard work that our team has put into our business.  After we rebranded from Interior Motives to IMI Design and moved to a new, more central Scottsdale location, we allocated significant effort into updating our organizational systems and procedures as well as our marketing efforts. In addition to our proprietary E-Binder System we have implemented our trademark Smart Luxury and Smart Concierge programs.” she added.

IMI Design closed its Fountain Hills showroom opened in its Scottsdale location in October of 2011. IMI continues to maintain a strong presence in California and in the Truckee and Tahoe areas.  In September of 2013, IMI Design won 10 Design Excellence awards from the ASID Arizona North Chapter, including the prestigious top honor of “Best in Show.”

Earlier this year, IMI Design announced the upcoming release of a custom furniture line that will be sold exclusively through high-end showrooms in key markets around the United States and select international locations.

“This is the perfect example of challenges opening the way for inspiration” added Lang. “We managed to turn a slow period into the time we needed to develop and implement these new systems. We are now poised to handle this influx of projects in a new and innovative manner: something completely groundbreaking in the industry.”
