Cars, Drinks and Fun: Barrett Jackson 2014
Last week I was excited to attend the Barrett Jackson opening gala event with my good friend Walter Spitz. It was so much fun! It’s amazing to me how far the design of these beautiful cars have come. From the giant machines of the sleek forerunners of the 1920s to the sporty roadsters of the 1950s to some of the more space age automobiles out today this industry is a great example of how design changes and reinvents itself over time.
Later in the week I also went to the special VIP event hosted by our friends at JetSet Magazine and man on man, do those guys know how to party. Not only did they have some of most luxurious and exclusive wines and cigars I’ve ever seen—and I’ve recently become somewhat of a cigar connoisseur—I also got to taste an elite sampling of Asombroso Tequila.
This event always reminds me to take a minute and enjoy some of the finer things in life. As one of my staff, as hard working as he is, likes to say: “Work to live, don’t live to work.” This is a good reminder that sometimes we have to realize why we are working and sit back and enjoy the fruit of our labors.
